Suzie Lewis

Suzanne (Suzie) was born in Charleston, SC. She is married to Commander Jonathan Lewis who is stationed at Naval Air Station Whiting Field and they have three daughters.

Suzie's father's career in the Air Force allowed her to grow up all over the United States and she spent three years living in Bitburg, Germany. In 1982, her family moved to Fort Walton Beach. Suzie graduated from Fort Walton Beach high school and attended the University of West Florida where she earned a Bachelors Degree in Early Childhood and Elementary Education. Suzie has taught at Oakcrest and Montclair Elementary Schools in Pensacola and at Jenkins Elementary School in Newport News, Virginia. She has also served as the Science Lead Teacher at both schools and served on various education committees in both cities. Suzie has served in the Nursery at Kempsville Baptist Church in Virginia Beach, VA and Marcus Point Baptist Church in Pensacola. She has served as a Kindergarten Sunday School Teacher and AWANA Teacher at Colonial Baptist Church in Virginia Beach. In addition, she taught Kindergarten and First Grade Sunday School while helping to rejuvenate the Childrens Ministry Program at the Hario Navy Chapel in Sasebo, Japan. Prior to joining FBCN, she again volunteered at Marcus Point Baptist Church in the VBS and assisted in the Childrens Music Program. Since being at FBCN, Suzie has worked in the Junior Church program.

As the wife/mother of a Navy family, Suzie has lived in San Diego, Pensacola, and Chesapeake, VA while traveling all over the United States. Most recently, her family lived in Sasebo, Nagasaki, Japan. While there, she was able to visit all over Japan, Thailand, China, New Zealand, Australia and Hawaii. She and her family moved back to Navarre in February 2010. The Lewis Family began attending FBCN after visiting the Fall Festival in 2010 and joined in Sept. 2011. She is happy to be back home and to be serving the Lord at FBCN.
