Frequently Asked Questions
What age children will you accept?
We are only accepting children between the ages of 18 months and 4 years old. Children must be 18 months old by September 4th.
Are classes grouped by age?
We strive to keep age levels as close as possible within each of our classes. However, we ask parents to bring their child with them when they come to tour the school and pick up an application. Our director and teachers love to meet new students!
Does my child need to be potty trained to be enrolled at FBCNP?
We have a very limited number of spaces available for children who are not potty-trained. Due to the higher staffing and equipment requirements for this group, tuition is slightly higher. For this reason, parents are highly encouraged to potty-train their child before starting school.
How much is tuition?
Tuition is $160 a month for two-day-a-week students and $90 a month for one-day-a-week students. Students who are not potty-trained will be charged $180 for two days a week and $100 for one day a week. An enrollment fee of $100 and the first month's tuition is due upon acceptance. The enrollment fee covers all necessary supplies during the year.
Do you offer discounts or scholarships?
At the present time, we are unable to offer discounts or tuition waivers. However, we hope to offer these programs in the future.
Can I use my VPK voucher here?
Because our program is part-time, we cannot accept VPK vouchers. However, we hope to add a VPK program in the near future after our new Children’s Building is completed. For updates on our building, please click here.
How big are the classes?
All of our classes have between 7 and 11 students. A typical class will have about 8 students.
How many teachers are in a classroom?
Each room will have a minimum of two teachers throughout the day. Additional staff may be present in the room for resource time and special events.
What time is the school?
Classes are held on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 8:30 to 12:30. Classes will start on September 4th and end at the end of May. We strive to follow the public school calendar as closely as possible in order to assist parents and staff who have children in those schools.
What will I need to register my child?
If your child’s application is accepted, you will have two weeks to complete the enrollment process. This includes filling out several forms and paying a $100 registration fee and the first month's tuition. All children must have their proof of immunization form completed before their first day of school. Per state law, failure to complete this form will mean that your child cannot start school until the form is completed.
