Welcome to the Senior Adult Ministry at First Baptist Church, Navarre. Our ministry reaches out to those who are age 50 and above. We invite all our seniors to share in the fun, fellowship, and opportunities to grow in Christ while sharing His love with others. As we go beyond worship together, it is our desire to include as many of you as possible. Our most important goal is to minister to all areas of your life. Please let us know if you have special needs. Whatever comes your way, we want to be there for you, spiritually, or physically. Jesus said: "I am come in order that you might have life - life in all its fullness," John 10:10.
Some of our scheduled events include:
On the second Thursday of each month we meet at Sail Inn Sandwich Shop at 8:30 AM for breakfast. Following breakfast we travel down the highway to Gulf Breeze Courtyard Assisted Living Facility for a time of singing and visiting with the residents. On the fourth Thursday of the month we meet at Sail Inn for breakfast and then go to Bay Breeze Nursing Home for singing and visiting. On occasion we have gifts, cards, or special tributes for the residents. This is just one way our seniors are reaching other seniors in the community.
Check the church calendar for other scheduled events throughout the year. These events include birthday luncheons, 50th anniversary recognition luncheons, trips to Bellingrath Gardens, Dinner Cruises, and Gospel Music nights. The highlight of our events is the Regional Senior Adult Rally in September. This year the rally will be held at First Baptist Church in Navarre.
Our Senior Adult Ministry always welcomes new members, guests, and snowbirds. Join us when you are able and experience the joy of time spent together with other Christian Seniors.
